Wyrd Wolf is creating tabletop roleplaying experiences that focus on fostering creativity. The goal is to create rules-light games that are simple to digest with systems that get out of the way of having fun. There is a strong emphasis on empowering Game Masters as they have the difficult job of bringing adventures to life. A Wyrd Wolf game will be engineered to run with minimal prep, and focus on emergent gameplay. It’s about creating situations, and trusting the dice, random tables, and ideas of the players to create an unforgettable experience.
Most importantly, Wyrd Wolf is striving to make games that WE WANT TO PLAY. These are ideas, worlds, and adventures that we think are fun. The idea here isn’t to get rich and reach a massive audience. Wyrd Wolf specializes in niche genres and games that may only appeal to a small section of weirdos. That is perfectly fine.
Tabletop gaming is about people. It’s about getting together, eating snacks, laughing, and going on fantastic adventures. In today’s world of wiz-bang super tech, social media doomscrolling, and utter lack of human interaction, we want to make games that bring people together. It’s all about sharing an experience with friends or even strangers. Human beings are social creatures, and we seem to be trying our hardest to no longer interact with each another. It’s important to put the phone away, turn off the news, and allow your self to partake in the ancient magic of shared storytelling.
A Statement About A.I.
Humans are strange and curious creatures. We are pushing the boundaries of science at an alarming rate. It seems each month a new breakthrough occurs. Recently, none has been more impactful than the rise of Artificial Intelligence. It’s easier than ever to have A.I. write creative copy, or draw an illustration in the style of your favorite artist. By supporting Wyrd Wolf entertainment, you are supporting a company that says, “NO to A.I.”. The world needs more artists and creatives. Typing out a few commands to an A.I. bot is lazy at best, and more than likely theft.
EVERYTHING created by Wryd Wolf will always be 100% made by humans.
